Study asks: is less more for certain breast cancer patients?

NCT ID NCT07179744

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study looks at whether women with a specific type of breast cancer can safely avoid radiation therapy to their lymph nodes. The participants have hormone-sensitive, HER2-negative tumors with 1-3 positive lymph nodes and a low RecurIndex score. Researchers will track if skipping this radiation leads to cancer returning in the same area. The goal is to reduce unnecessary treatment side effects for low-risk patients.
