New drugs tested to stop breast cancer before it starts

NCT ID NCT05941520

Summary

This study is testing two medications, acolbifene and a low dose of tamoxifen, to see if they can help prevent breast cancer in premenopausal women who are at high risk for developing it. About 80 participants will take one of the pills daily for six months. Researchers will check breast tissue, blood samples, and mammograms to measure how the drugs affect markers of cancer risk.
