Which side is safer? breast cancer port placement study seeks answers

NCT ID NCT07197320

Summary

This study looks back at medical records to see if placing chemotherapy ports on the right side of the neck works equally well for patients with right-sided versus left-sided breast cancer. Researchers will compare how often these ports stay working properly for one year and how often complications like infections or blood clots occur. The goal is to help doctors make better decisions about where to place these ports for patients needing chemotherapy.
