Doctors question: which side is safer for cancer ports?
NCT ID NCT07197320
Summary
This study looks back at medical records to compare how well chemotherapy ports work when placed on the right side of the neck in patients with right versus left breast cancer. Researchers will review 80 patients treated between 2017-2024 to see if the cancer side affects port complications like infections, blood clots, or skin problems. The goal is to help doctors decide the safest placement for these ports that deliver chemotherapy drugs.
