Scientists hunt for clues in breast tumors to predict treatment success
NCT ID NCT07387861
First seen Feb 04, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study examines stored tumor tissue from 70 people with a common type of breast cancer (ER-positive, HER2-negative) who received hormone therapy. Researchers will look for specific protein markers (p-AKT and p-S6) to see if they can tell which cancers are likely to respond to treatment and which are not. The goal is to better understand why some breast cancers become resistant to hormone therapy.
