Summary
This study tested whether adding an immunotherapy drug (pembrolizumab) to a standard chemotherapy (carboplatin) could better control breast cancer that had spread to the chest wall. It involved 76 patients whose cancer had stopped responding to other treatments. The main goal was to see if the two-drug combination kept the cancer from growing for longer than chemotherapy alone.
