Freeze-and-Burn technique tested as surgery alternative for breast cancer

Summary
This study is testing a minimally invasive treatment that uses extreme cold and heat to destroy breast cancer tumors. It is for patients who cannot have or refuse standard surgery. Researchers will follow 200 patients for over 5 years to see how safe the treatment is and how often the cancer comes back.
