First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study aims to see if a web-based educational program can help relatives of people with BRCA1 or BRCA2 mutations make informed decisions about genetic testing. About 240 men and women who are first- or second-degree relatives of a BRCA mutation carrier will be randomly assigned to either the web-based education or standard care. The main goal is to see if the web tool increases the number of people who complete genetic counseling and testing.
