NCT ID NCT03396575
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 32 times
Summary
This early-phase study tested a new treatment for children with a rare and aggressive brain stem tumor called DIPG. The approach combined standard radiation with chemotherapy and a special immune cell therapy designed to boost the body's own defenses against the cancer. The study aimed to see if this combination was safe and could trigger a stronger immune response, but it was stopped early and involved only 11 participants.
