Can a summer in the lab spark a lifelong passion for science?
NCT ID NCT04728022
Summary
This study is not testing a medical treatment. It aims to understand how an 8-month neuroscience research apprenticeship affects high school students. Researchers will track 180 students from Upper Manhattan and the South Bronx to see if the program boosts their confidence in science skills and their interest in pursuing science careers. The goal is to learn what helps students from underrepresented backgrounds succeed in science.
