Summary
This study is measuring how an 8-month neuroscience apprenticeship program affects high school students' confidence in science and interest in science careers. Researchers will track 180 students from Upper Manhattan and the South Bronx as they learn lab skills and work with mentors. The goal is to understand if hands-on research experience increases students' likelihood of pursuing science studies or careers.
