First seen Mar 06, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study looked at whether measuring brain wave activity before a root canal can help predict how much pain a person will feel afterward. Researchers measured the brain waves of 100 adults with tooth pain and then asked them to rate their pain after treatment. The goal was to see if a simple brain scan could identify people who might need extra pain management.
