Summary
This study uses low-intensity focused ultrasound (LIFU) to temporarily and safely change activity in deep brain areas. Researchers will scan the brains of 66 healthy adults to see how different doses of ultrasound alter communication between brain regions. The goal is to understand how brain circuits work, which could lead to better treatments for conditions like depression and anxiety.
