Doctors test better way to manage fluids in brain surgery
NCT ID NCT07174128
Summary
This study tested two different targets for a finger-sensor device that guides how much fluid patients receive during brain tumor surgery. Researchers wanted to see which target better controlled a blood marker (lactate) linked to stress and helped keep the brain relaxed for the surgeon. The study involved 32 adults having surgery to remove a brain tumor.
