Could a common surgical fluid increase bleeding risk in brain tumor patients?
NCT ID NCT07476404
Summary
This study looked back at 300 past patients who had surgery to remove large brain tumors. Researchers wanted to see if a specific type of fluid given during surgery (called HES) increased the risk of dangerous bleeding after the operation or caused kidney problems. The goal is to help doctors choose the safest fluids for future patients.
