New scan combo aims to sharpen brain tumor detection

NCT ID NCT07211360

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study will see if combining two types of scans (PET and MRI) can more accurately tell if a brain tumor is growing or if changes are just from treatment. Researchers will look at 270 adults with brain tumors, using scans already part of their regular care. The goal is to improve diagnosis and monitoring without adding extra procedures.
