First seen Nov 17, 2025
Summary
This study tests two remote brain-training programs for Veterans who have had a traumatic brain injury (TBI) and struggle with memory, attention, and goal-setting. What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
behavioral training programs (BrainStrong-GSR and BrainStrong-OPT)
What this could lead to
If successful, these programs could offer Veterans with TBI a convenient, app-supported way to sharpen thinking skills and achieve personal goals.
What could go wrong
This is an early-stage study with only 120 participants, so results may not apply to all Veterans. The training requires time and effort, and benefits may vary.
