MRI brain training offers new hope for Tough-to-Treat depression
NCT ID NCT03428828
Summary
This study tested a new, non-drug treatment for people whose depression hasn't improved with standard antidepressants. Participants used real-time MRI scans to try to train the emotional center of their brain to respond better to happy memories. Researchers wanted to see if this brain training could reduce depression symptoms in this hard-to-treat group.
