First seen Feb 03, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study looks at how the brains of romantic partners communicate compared to strangers. Researchers will record brain activity from two people at the same time using EEG, both in the same room and remotely. The goal is to understand what factors, like age or relationship quality, affect brain-to-brain connections. Participants are healthy couples who will complete questionnaires and two EEG sessions with their partner and a stranger.
