Scientists map Brain's emotion and time sensors in healthy adults

NCT ID NCT06276400

First seen May 22, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026

Summary

This study looks at how specific brain regions track both emotions and time during emotional events to help guide decisions. Researchers will scan 50 healthy adults using fMRI while they view emotional images and report which emotion lasted longer. They will also use magnetic stimulation to test how these brain areas contribute to the process. The goal is to better understand the brain's role in combining emotional and timing information.
