Summary
This study uses brain scans to understand how nicotine affects brain function in people with and without major depression. Researchers will give participants either nicotine or a placebo before MRI scans to see how their brains respond during tasks. The goal is to learn why people with depression are more likely to become addicted to nicotine, which could lead to better prevention strategies.
