Zapping the blues away? new brain stimulation tested for tough depression

NCT ID NCT06730841

Summary

This small study tested a new way to use gentle electrical brain stimulation to help people with depression that hasn't improved with standard medications. Three participants tried either the new method, a standard stimulation, or a fake (placebo) treatment over six weeks. The main goal was to see if the new approach was safe, doable, and tolerable, while also checking if it reduced depression symptoms.
