Magnetic pulses aim to reboot speech after stroke

NCT ID NCT05303649

Summary

This study is testing whether a non-invasive brain stimulation technique can help people who have lost some speech ability after a stroke. Researchers will use magnetic pulses on the brain, combined with standard speech therapy, to see if it improves word-finding and communication. The trial involves 45 Polish-speaking stroke survivors with non-fluent aphasia, comparing real stimulation to a sham (fake) treatment to measure true effects.
