Timing is everything: Brain-Wave-Synced stimulation may boost stroke recovery
NCT ID NCT05600374
First seen May 25, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether a noninvasive magnetic stimulation technique, timed to the brain's natural rhythms, can improve arm and hand function in people who recently had a stroke. About 144 adults with arm weakness due to a stroke within the past two weeks will receive either timed stimulation, untimed stimulation, or a sham (fake) treatment. The goal is to see if the timed approach leads to better motor recovery.
