Zapping the urge: can brain stimulation stop teen Self-Harm?
NCT ID NCT07152925
Summary
This study is testing whether a gentle, non-invasive brain stimulation technique can help teenagers who hurt themselves on purpose. Researchers want to see if this stimulation can improve their ability to control impulsive urges and reduce self-injury episodes. The study will compare the real stimulation to a fake version in 60 teens, measuring changes in behavior, eye movements, and questionnaires over a week of treatment.
