Zapping the brain to quiet sound rage
NCT ID NCT06960083
Summary
This study is testing whether a non-invasive brain stimulation technique can help people with misophonia better tolerate sounds that trigger strong negative reactions. 60 adults with sound sensitivity will receive two types of magnetic stimulation to the brain while their brain activity and physical responses are measured. Researchers want to see if this approach can reduce the unpleasantness caused by specific sounds.
