Zapping the brain to quiet rage from everyday sounds

NCT ID NCT06960083

Summary

This study is testing whether magnetic stimulation of the brain can help people with misophonia, a condition where specific sounds cause intense irritation or anger. Researchers will use a non-invasive device to stimulate the parietal area of the brain in 60 participants. They will measure changes in how unpleasant triggering sounds feel, along with brain activity and physical responses like heart rate.
