Zapping the brain to boost memory?

NCT ID NCT03111290

Summary

This study aimed to understand if gentle electrical stimulation, delivered through electrodes already placed in the brain for epilepsy surgery planning, could improve a person's working memory. It planned to test this in adults with drug-resistant epilepsy. The goal was to gather knowledge about how brain rhythms relate to thinking, not to provide a treatment.
