Zapping 'Chemo Brain' away: magnetic pulses target memory fog

NCT ID NCT04966520

Summary

This small pilot study explored whether a non-invasive brain stimulation technique could help improve the memory and concentration problems some people experience after chemotherapy, often called 'chemo brain.' Researchers tested a procedure called theta-burst stimulation on 15 adult cancer survivors who had finished treatment and reported cognitive issues. They measured changes in thinking skills and brain chemistry before and after the stimulation sessions to see if it was a feasible and potentially helpful approach.
