Scientists zap brains to unlock secrets of pleasure
NCT ID NCT05468853
Summary
This study investigated whether a non-invasive magnetic brain stimulation technique could affect how the brain processes rewards and feelings of pleasure. Researchers worked with 72 right-handed adults who reported reduced enjoyment of life. They used brain scans and measurements to see if stimulating a specific brain area could change how participants responded to rewards and reported their ability to feel pleasure.
