Shocking combo: brain and spine zaps may boost recovery after stroke or spinal injury

NCT ID NCT07334977

First seen Jan 12, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study explores whether combining non-invasive brain and spinal cord stimulation during a thinking-and-moving task can improve sensation, movement, and thinking in people who have had a stroke or cervical spinal cord injury. About 45 participants (including healthy volunteers) will receive the stimulation and be tested. The goal is to understand how these treatments work together, not to cure the condition.
