Scientists peek inside brain during Parkinson's surgery

Summary
This study looks at how different parts of the brain talk to each other to control movement in people with Parkinson's disease. During planned deep brain stimulation (DBS) surgery, researchers will place a thin strip of sensors on the brain's surface to record activity. The goal is to learn more about the brain pathways involved in movement, which could help improve future treatments. About 25 adults having DBS surgery will take part.
