Scientists zap brains to unlock memory secrets
NCT ID NCT05374551
Summary
This study aimed to understand how different parts of the brain work together to form and recall personal memories. Researchers used a safe, non-invasive brain stimulation technique on healthy young adults while they performed memory tasks and had their brains scanned. The goal was to see if temporarily influencing specific brain areas changes memory performance and brain network activity, helping to pinpoint the brain's causal role in memory.
