Scientists track how radiation affects cancer Patients' minds

NCT ID NCT01445483

Summary

This study aimed to understand how radiation treatment for brain tumors affects patients' thinking abilities like memory and attention. Researchers tested 35 adult cancer patients with brain metastases before and after standard radiation therapy, then followed them for a year. The goal was to identify which cognitive tests best detect changes and whether those changes relate to how patients respond to treatment.
