Scientists use virtual streets to map brain injury challenges
NCT ID NCT07230002
Summary
This study aims to better understand the real-world walking and navigation difficulties faced by people who have recovered from moderate to severe traumatic brain injuries. Researchers will compare how 40 participants (half with past brain injuries, half healthy) navigate complex virtual environments that mimic real-life situations like walking on a busy street. The goal is to gather knowledge about specific challenges in social navigation to potentially inform future therapies and assessments.
