First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study uses brain scans to examine dopamine, a brain chemical linked to psychosis, in 115 people aged 18-30 who are at high risk for developing psychosis. Participants will have PET and MRI scans and be followed for up to two years to see if they develop psychosis. The goal is to learn where and when dopamine becomes abnormal, which could help create better treatments in the future.
