Scientists scan healthy brains to unlock secrets of depression and Alzheimer's

NCT ID NCT06874205

Summary

This study aims to test a new radioactive tracer for brain scans in 40 healthy volunteers. The tracer is designed to attach to a specific brain protein (PDE4D) thought to be involved in depression and Alzheimer's disease. Researchers will use PET and MRI scans to see if the tracer works properly and is safe, gathering information to help future studies on these conditions.
