Summary
This study looks at how the brain, stress hormone cortisol, and immune factor interleukin-6 change when people who drink heavily see pictures of alcohol. Researchers will use MRI scans and blood tests to measure these responses in 234 adults aged 21-25. The goal is to better understand what drives drinking behaviors, which could lead to new treatments for alcohol use disorders.
