Could a finger clip replace blood draws in critical brain death tests?
NCT ID NCT06983990
Summary
This study observed 35 patients undergoing a specific breathing test to diagnose brain death. Researchers wanted to see if two non-invasive finger/clip sensors could accurately estimate oxygen and carbon dioxide levels normally checked by drawing blood. The goal was to understand if these sensors could provide similar information while being less invasive for patients.
