Scientists test Triple-Threat attack on deadly brain tumor
NCT ID NCT04474353
Summary
This early-stage study tested the safety of combining three different treatments for newly diagnosed glioblastoma, a fast-growing brain cancer. Twelve adult patients received a special electric field therapy (TTFields) along with a short, intense course of radiation and a chemotherapy drug called temozolomide. The main goal was to see if this aggressive combination was safe and tolerable for patients.
