Summary
This study compares two imaging methods to see how well brain blood vessels respond to a drug called acetazolamide. The PET scan method is being tested against the standard scintigraphy method to see if it works just as well. Nineteen adults with narrowed brain arteries (over 70% blockage) took part. The goal is to improve diagnosis of reduced brain blood flow reserve.
