First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 31 times

Summary

This study uses MRI to measure how brain blood flow changes when healthy adults (ages 20-40) simulate standing up and breathe extra carbon dioxide. The goal is to understand normal brain blood flow regulation, which could help future research on conditions like fainting or dementia. Participants must be non-smokers, have a BMI of 34.5 or less, and be under 72 inches tall.
