Mapping the Brain's blood flow to make heart pumps safer
NCT ID NCT05924503
Summary
This study aims to collect detailed information about how blood flows to the brain in critically ill patients who need a temporary mechanical heart pump. Researchers will use a non-invasive ultrasound test on the head to measure brain blood flow and see how it relates to the settings of the heart pump. The goal is to gather enough data to help doctors in the future adjust these pumps more safely to avoid brain injuries like strokes.
