Robot steps into ICU to map Brain's blood flow

NCT ID NCT06565442

Summary

This study is testing whether a new robotic ultrasound device can be used to measure blood flow in the brain for patients in the neurological intensive care unit (ICU) after spinal surgery. The goal is to see if the robot can reliably create personalized charts showing how a patient's brain regulates its own blood pressure. This is a small, early-stage study to check if the method is practical and could one day help guide more tailored treatment.
