NCT ID NCT03731104
First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 33 times
Summary
This study looked at how blood flow and oxygen levels in the brain change when doctors treat very sick children for low blood pressure or shock. The researchers used ultrasound and light-based sensors to monitor the brain in 27 children in the intensive care unit. The goal was to better understand how the brain responds during emergency treatment, not to test a new drug or cure.
