NCT ID NCT07479225

First seen Mar 31, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study tests a new blood test that looks for bacterial DNA in the blood to diagnose brain abscesses. Normally, doctors need surgery to get a sample, but this test might work without it. The study will include 15 adults with brain abscesses and compare the blood test results to samples taken during surgery.
