Box breathing boosts COPD rehab: new study tests simple fix for breathlessness

NCT ID NCT07518472

First seen Apr 08, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study looks at whether adding a special breathing technique called 'box breathing' to a short exercise program can help people with mild COPD feel less short of breath and do more in their daily lives. The study will include 40 adults aged 40 to 65. Researchers will measure breathlessness using a standard scale and test walking ability to see if the combination works better than exercise alone.
