First seen Jan 20, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study aims to develop a more accurate bowel diary for people treated for rectal cancer. Many patients experience lasting bowel problems after surgery or radiation, but current tools don't capture all symptoms. Researchers will work with 158 patients and experts to create and test a smartphone app that tracks these symptoms, with the goal of improving care and quality of life.
