First seen May 06, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study compares two treatments for chronic anal fissure, a painful condition that makes bowel movements difficult. One group gets a botulinum toxin injection to relax the muscle, while the other has a minor surgery to permanently reduce pressure. Researchers will track healing, pain, and side effects in 90 adults to find out which option works better and is safer.
