First seen May 06, 2026 · Last updated May 06, 2026
Summary
This study compares two treatments for chronic anal fissure, a painful condition affecting the anal canal. One group receives a botulinum toxin injection to relax the muscle temporarily, while the other undergoes a minor surgery that permanently reduces muscle pressure. Researchers will track healing, pain relief, and side effects in 90 adults to see which option works best.
